Land is so very toxic so sad because it’s so beautiful… wonder if there’s any kind of plant that can remove the toxins

I grew up calling it Big mountain. What do the locals call it now?

So many memories of my childhood and early adulthood years on the mountain. Many ski days with Alrick, tree skiing woodlot, good medicine, hiking out of Haskel slide area when you had to get a few more turn, inspiration, the Ham jump, school run jump, burnout alley, big drift, west bowl, missing the ski bus then skiing the powerlines to the Dos Amigos area, late evening cross country skiing trough haskel basin to Dos Amigos area......I could go on. The people I worked with, Martin Hale, Al Raddatz, the shop guys, Duie, Rock, Tim, Shawn, Bill. Ski School instructors and coaches, Sals, Al, Debbie, Kenny, Gordo, Alrick. I could go on. Housing on the mtn changed the mountain. I miss the mountain I grew up on, the Big Mountain.

This place has grown to be way bigger than I like to go to. I’m too small town Montana for it.

My parents had a small cabin about 1/2 mile East of the main intersection. My father died of a heart attack playing cards at the Coram Bar.

That's pretty spectacular! Here's a reverse angle I captured on 7/9/20210 by walking up to the vantage point north of White River Pass, just below the rainbow and a little to the west... I should probably do that again.

Beautiful Shots! The paving Looks really good. What a beautiful upgrade for the main stage.  I have driven the water truck here for the last hand full of years and this will keep the dust down immensely. .
